Handyman service FAQs
Straightforward answers about estimates, appointments, service areas, and what to expect from your project.
Getting started
Estimates, scheduling, and preparing for your appointment.
How do I request an estimate?
Use our contact page or call us with a description of your project. Include measurements and clear photos when possible so we can better understand the scope before discussing next steps.
Does submitting a request confirm my appointment?
No. A website or phone inquiry is a request for service. Your appointment is confirmed after we review the project, verify availability, and communicate the agreed date and time with you.
How should I prepare for the appointment?
Clear personal items and fragile objects away from the work area, secure pets, and make sure we can safely access the room, wall, fixture, or furniture involved. Let us know in advance about parking restrictions, gate access, building rules, or known hazards.
Service area and project scope
Where we work and the kinds of projects we handle.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Clearwater, Clearwater Beach, Largo, Pinellas Park, Kenneth City, St. Petersburg, Gulfport, Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, the Redington Beaches, Indian Rocks Beach, Indian Shores, Belleair, Belleair Bluffs, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor, Oldsmar, East Lake, Tampa, and Carrollwood. Contact us to confirm availability for your address.
What types of projects do you handle?
Can the scope or price change after work begins?
An estimate is based on the information and visible conditions available beforehand. Hidden damage, unsuitable surfaces, missing parts, or safety concerns can affect the work required. If we discover a material issue, we will discuss the revised scope before performing additional work.
Repairs, painting, and refinishing
What to expect from surface-related projects.
What kinds of drywall and wall damage can you repair?
We work on common wall damage including holes, cracks, failed patches, damaged drywall sections, and other surface imperfections. The appropriate repair depends on the size of the damage, wall construction, texture, moisture, and the condition of the surrounding material.
Can you exactly match an existing paint color or wall texture?
We aim for a close, consistent finish, but an exact match is not always possible. Age, fading, sheen, lighting, previous repairs, discontinued products, and hand-applied textures can all create visible variation. Repainting a larger wall area may provide a more uniform result than touching up one spot.
What can be refinished around a bathtub or shower?
Depending on condition and material, refinishing may be available for bathtubs, shower surfaces, tile, and wall surrounds. We need to assess damage, prior coatings, moisture issues, and substrate condition before confirming whether refinishing is appropriate.
Mounting, fixtures, and assembly
Products, surfaces, parts, and installation requirements.
What surfaces can you mount a TV on?
TVs may be mounted on drywall, concrete, stone, and other suitable surfaces. Before installation, we consider the wall construction, mounting location, TV size and weight, bracket compatibility, and the location of utilities behind the wall.
Can you install my chandelier or light fixture?
We can replace compatible chandeliers, pendant lights, ceiling lights, and other fixtures when the existing electrical connection and mounting location are suitable. New wiring, circuit changes, panel work, or permitted electrical work may require a licensed electrical contractor.
Can you assemble furniture that I purchased?
Yes. We assemble beds, tables, cabinets, dressers, shelving, patio furniture, and other ready-to-assemble products. Please have the product, instructions, hardware, and all packages available. Missing, damaged, or incompatible parts may prevent completion during the scheduled visit.
